Kohima: La Ganesan has been appointed as the new Governor of Nagaland on Sunday, a press communique from Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s Secretariat) said.
La Ganesan was appointed as Governor of Manipur in August 2021.
Temjen Imna Along, Minister and State President, BJP Nagaland took to twitter and wished the new Governor a hearty welcome.

Meanwhile, Sushri Anusuiya Uikye the present Governor of Chhattisgarh will replace La Ganesan as the new Governor of Manipur.
Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh also welcomed the new Governor’s appointment and took to twitter — “A hearty welcome to Smt Sushri Anusuiya Uikye Ji on being appointed as the new Governor of Manipur. I am confident that the people of Manipur will see great progress under your leadership. Also, I extend best wishes to Shri La Ganesan Ji on his new post as Governor of Nagaland.”
La Ganesan and Sushri Anusuiya Uikye are among the thirteen Governors appointmented by the President on Sunday.
