Imphal: The ruling BJP in Manipur on Sunday joined the celebration as the party was all set to win in three states in the assembly elections.
The counting of votes for the Assembly elections in four states was held today with the saffron party all set to win in three states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The Congress is set to win in Telangana.

The celebration at the state BJP office in Imphal’s Nityapath Chuthek was among others attended by state party chief A Sarda Devi, chief minister N Biren Singh, ministers and MLAs of the party.
Addressing party workers, chief minister N Biren Singh said that the party’s victory in the three states was a testament to the collective will of the people.
He alleged that the Manipur issue was highly politicized by other political parties, particularly by the Congress to make political manoeuvres and take advantage of the crisis. They sold out Manipur, he added.

However, the parties lost as the people across the country knew that these parties were telling lies only to defame the BJP, he also added.
The humiliating defeat that the Congress faced today is a lesson that citizens of the country cannot be easily misled, he said.

The chief minister then said that BJP’s victory in the three states is a testament to Narendra Modi becoming the prime minister of the country for the third consecutive term after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections due in the early part of next year.

While informing that the party has begun its electioneering for the upcoming elections to the Lok Sabha, Singh called upon the party leaders, members and workers to work harder to ensure BJP wins both the Lok Sabha seats from the state.
The chief minister said that he has strong confidence that the BJP will win both seats in the upcoming elections.
He then thanked the people of the three states for their support and faith in the BJP.
