Manipur CM’s Covid-19 Affected Scheme: Beneficiaries to submit application before August 7

In pursuance of the notification issued by social welfare department on Wednesday, the deputy commissioner of Ukhrul on Thursday has notified the general populace of the district who fit in the chief minister’s Covid-19 affected livelihood scheme to duly submit the required documents before August 7.

Street vendors, women vendors, public transport driver (including autorickshaw driver, cycle rickshaw, tata magic, winger, bus) school van drivers, artists/performing artistes are the categories that could apply for the scheme.

What to submit: They have to submit street vendor card/council card; permit for public transport submitted by transport department, municipalities, district councils, School van permit/certificate issued by transport department/school authority concerned, and beneficiaries list of chief ministers artistesingi tengbam (CMAT).

As per the notification of DC Ukhrul, the duly filled in application forms along with detailed documents shall be preferably submitted by the applicants himself or herself to the DC Office Ukhrul on or before August 7.

The application format can be downloaded from the website: www.socialwelfare.mm.gov.in (Currently not functional. Or Click here and check NOTIFICATION below) or can be taken from the DC Office, Room No. E203, First Floor, Mini Secretariat Ukhrul from Friday (July 30) till August 7.

However, given the ongoing curfew, and the surge in virus detection it is uncertain whether government would relax curfew any time soon. Added to this application forms are to be submitted only in offline mode, and within such a short period of time, beneficiaries have expressed apprehension that they might miss the set deadline.
