Imphal: Governor designate of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey has arrived in Imphal today.
A reception programme was organised at the Raj Bhavan where she was accorded a warm welcome by Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and his Council of Ministers, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Th. Satyabrata Singh, Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Kumar, DGP P. Doungel and senior officers. Rashtriya salute was also accorded by personnel of Manipur Rifles and India Reserve Battalion.

Swearing-in ceremony of the new Governor will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan in Imphal.
Earlier, Governor designate Anusuiya Uikey landed at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal by a special chartered flight from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. On her arrival at the airport, she was accorded a warm welcome by high ranking civil and police officers led by Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Kumar.Â
Anusuiya Uikye was the Governor of Chhattisgarh. She replaces La Ganesan as the new Governor of Manipur who was appointed as Governor of Manipur in August 2021.
