IMPHAL, JULY 15: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand stated that his government “is making every possible effort to ensure free movement for all communities along the national highways passing through the State”, adding that restoring normalcy remains one of the government’s top priorities.
The Chief Minister said this while visiting Kanto Sabal village in the outskirt of Imphal today, following the recent burning of houses in the ethnic problem.
The Chief Minister called upon the people to maintain mutual trust, understanding, and coexist peacefully, emphasizing that lasting peace can only be achieved through unity and cooperation.

The Chief Minister also said that without peace, there can be no development. He remarked that infrastructure, education and healthcare can only flourish in a peaceful environment. He appealed to all sections of society to work together in preserving peace and strengthening the spirit of brotherhood so that the State can move forward on the path of inclusive growth and prosperity.
Khemchand reiterated the government’s commitment to restoring normalcy, ensuring public safety, and carrying forward development initiatives for the welfare of all citizens.
The Chief Minister also urged the people to uphold peace and harmony among all communities, stating that they are the foundation for the State’s progress.
