Manipur reports six fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours

Six fresh cases of COVID-19 reported in Manipur on Saturday pushed the state’s disease infection tally to 29,332, a report of the state Health department said.

As only two patients reportedly recovered from the viral disease over the past 24 hours against six fresh cases during the same period, the active case increased to 28. 

Adding the two recoveries, the total number of recovered cases in the state rose to 28,931 and the state’s recovery rate stood at 98.63 per cent, the Health department stated.

As no death due to COVID-19 was reported in the past 24 hours, the fatality toll remained at 373.
Giving details of the six fresh cases, the health department said that three each were from the general populace and Central security personnel.

Of the three fresh cases from the general population, two were from Bishnupur and one from Thoubal.
Meanwhile, with 752 more people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Manipur, the cumulative number of people who received the vaccine rose to 80,166. The total number included 31,056 healthcare workers.
