Nagaland all-party delegation meets Muivah and others

The all-party delegation of Nagaland met NSCN-IM leaders Th Muivah and others in New Delhi on Friday, according to a report. It also said that the delegation was led by Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer, Opposition Leader, TR Zeliang.

According to the report, the meeting was based on the resolution of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly taken on February 18, 2021 “to pursue the early solution to the Naga political issue.”

The report also said that the all-party delegation had met Union Home minister, Amit Shah in this regard on March 18.

Meanwhile, Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) of the NSCN/GPRN has “taken the stand that resolving the Naga political issue would have political meaning if it is based on the Framework Agreement of the 3rd August, 2015,” according to a press release from the NSCN-IM.

The press statement also said that ENNWU will not accept Naga solution outside the Framework Agreement.
