Imphal: A team of Manipur Tribals Forum, Delhi, led by its convenor, Vumsuan Naulak along with seven other members called on Governor of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey in New Delhi today and apprised the
prevailing deteriorating situation in the State following the communal clash which erupted between two communities in May, this year.

The team expressed their concerns about the prevailing situation stating that all possible efforts should be made to stop violence in the State.

The team thanked the Governor for her initiatives to restore peace and urged to take all possible efforts for bringing peace and normalcy in the State.

Governor heard their concerns and assured them that all out efforts will be made to restore peace and normalcy in the State. She urged them to hold a dialogue with their leaders and people to shun the violence out and come forward for talks, then only a meaningful dialogue can bring about logical
conclusion of all impending issues which will bring back peace and also there will be an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect which is the key to bring back normalcy in the State of Manipur.
