Manipuri Trio Clinch Two Silver, One Bronze at U-19 World Boxing Futures Cup 2026

UKHRUL: Young boxing talents from Manipur have brought pride to the country with an impressive performance at the U-19 World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 held in Bangkok, Thailand, where they represented India on the international stage.

Ambekar Meetei Lairenlakpam secured a silver medal in the 50 kg category, while Joyshree Devi Chirom also clinched a silver medal in the 54 kg category. Radhamani Longjam added to the tally by winning a bronze medal in the 57 kg category at the prestigious tournament.

Their achievements highlight the growing strength of Manipur in the sport of boxing and reflect the dedication, discipline, and hard work of the young athletes. The success of the trio at the international level has brought immense pride and recognition to the state.
