KOHIMA: Menuokhriezo Metha clinched the championship title at the NASA Under-15 Wrestling Meet 2026, held at Tsiituonuomia Indoor Stadium, Kohima Village, after an impressive display of strength and technique.
The meet, organised by the Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA), witnessed participation of 24 wrestlers, with six competitors each from NASA Groups A, B, C, and D, highlighting wide representation across the association.
Mhaphruovizo Thevo finished as runner-up, while Vimethazo Zhale secured the third position. Kevisede Chiese placed fourth in the competition. Keviletuo Khro and Kevisetuo Kire were placed on the waiting list.

The programme was chaired by NASA Vice President Vikholie Kire, and the oath to the wrestlers was administered by NASA Wrestling Secretary Thepfukhotuo Medom. The matches were conducted under the supervision of Chief Judge Neisavotuo Whuorie, ensuring fair and disciplined competition.
Officials stated that the meet was organised to promote traditional wrestling and identify promising young talent for future events.
Meanwhile, NASA informed that the 67th NASA Wrestling Meet (Senior) 2026 will be held on February 4 at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground).
