Kamjong: MLA Cup 2021, an inter-village football tournament for Phungyar AC will commence from December 14 till 17.

According to the organisers, the main objectives of the tournament is to promote football and the young footballers. To provide a platform for the youngsters to enhance their skills and talents which will allow the players to get bigger exposure at national and international levels.

The winners will take home cash prize of Rs 100,000 while runners up carry Rs 50,000, apart from medals, trophy and certificate.

Players in the tournament will also receive individual prizes and titles such as, Best Player, Best Young Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Top Scorrer and Men of the match award for every match.

The organisers stressing on the vision of MLA Cup 2021 said, among other things, that the annual tournament would get upgraded each year. Talented players selected from the cup would receive sponsorship. It also aims to improvise and develop sports infrastructure, as well as in making Phungyar AC a sports powerhouse.
