Senapati: The celebrated October cosmos at Naamai Zho, Senapati district enchanted the spirit of John Barla, union minister of state for minority affairs in the company of his BJP executives,Delson national secretary BJP minority morcha; Hiilii Henry, Ex-ADC chairman, Mithun Additional Personal Secretary to minister, Sunil assistant to minister, Saveio Khole, vice president BJYM; Yuh Jonathan Tao, vice-president, BJP pradesh, Manipur, Miss Thaisiiru state president, Women morcha, Jokpa Jokson KN executive BJYM; Dr Rahul amid M Pradip Singh, IPS, SP Senapati and his units  in uniform.

In his keynote address, K S Solomon, president Koide Union welcomed the delegates while expressing the fervour delight of the entire village, he marked the visit of the union minister as a red-letter day for the Naamai.

While lauding the August visit, he honoured MoS Barla and his delegates with a token of gratitude for being the first union minister to visit the beauteous internet sensation October cosmos at Naamai Zho, Senapati.

“Your presence here is a significant event in the history of the Naamai’s. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for taking your busy schedule to grace this valley. I am optimistic that your presence will motivate us to be environmental stewards for new winds of change to transform this valley into a valley of national and international importance,” he asserted.

The Union minister enthralled the gathering with his inspiring story of how he forayed into the field of politics. “I began as a daily wage labourer. The plight of the schedule tribes is a reality. I began my political journey by mobilising labourers into a union to fight against discrimination,” sharing the congregation of his humble beginnings.

“The pathetic road condition that I experienced on my way invigorate me with enthusiasm that inclusive development is still a distant dream of our government. I promised to be the voice of our rural people and usher positive changes that transform lives”, he remarked.

“I will consult with the competent authority to expedite needful developmental works and infrastructures to ensure that this valley becomes a tourist destination”, he assured the gathering.

Padding on the bed where the abundant cosmos stands in pride, the MoS Barla and his entourage bid farewell regards to the alluring cosmos flowers and the heat of gatherings on the October afternoon.
