SENAPATI: Mount Everest College (MEC), Senapati, held its Graduation Day and Parting Ceremony on Saturday under the theme “Beyond the Horizon.” The programme was organised by the Cultural Committee in collaboration with IQAC.

During the ceremony, more than 211 students from the departments of English, Political Science, History, Physics, Sociology, Botany and Commerce were conferred graduation certificates, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey.

Delivering the welcome address, Principal Dr. Laishram Vijaya Devi congratulated the graduating students and thanked them for their contributions to the institution. She urged them to uphold the values of discipline, dedication, and responsibility they had learned during their years at the college and wished them success in their future pursuits.

Speaking on behalf of the graduating batch, Mathiulanliu Pamei of the 8th Semester encouraged fellow graduates to become the change the world is waiting for. “We are dreamers who dare to dream, fearful but unstoppable,” Pamei said while reflecting on the aspirations and resilience of the graduating class. Fernando Chahangnao of the 6th Semester also shared words of gratitude and encouragement.

The programme featured a special musical performance by Sourav Sultan, adding to the celebratory spirit of the occasion.

Delivering the convocation address, Vice Principal Dr. Gonmei Meithuanlungpou thanked everyone who had contributed to the institution and offered praise to God. Addressing the graduates, he described them as a blessing to their families, villages, society, India, and the world. Encouraging them to live up to the event’s theme, he urged the students to go “beyond the horizon,” touch lives positively, and continue moving forward with purpose and compassion.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and a farewell to the graduating students as they prepared to embark on new journeys beyond the walls of the institution.
