MPCC President Govindas extends Christmas wishes

MPCC President Govindas Konthoujam in a message on Wednesday sent “greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur, believing in Christianity, on this joyous occasion of Christmas”.

Quoting verses of love from the Bible, Govindas said that Jesus “teaches us to love God”, “to love your neighbours as yourself”, “forgive others who have wronged you”, “to love your enemies”, and “to ask for forgiveness for our sins”.

Govindas went on to say that “Christmas enriches our lives with the eternal spirit of love, compassion, generosity and forgiveness and strengthens our social harmony”.

“Let the birthday of Jesus Christ help spread the message of sacrifice, love, tolerance and peace for peaceful coexistence of human beings,” said Govindas and wished, “Merry Christmas to all.”
