In a press release issued on Thursday, the Commission described the incident as a “heinous crime” that has sent shockwaves through the community, creating an atmosphere of fear and trauma. Terming the act as “barbaric” and “unacceptable,” the MSCW called upon law enforcement agencies to ensure that the perpetrator faces the full extent of the law. “It is imperative that justice is served swiftly and decisively to deter such acts in the future and to uphold the rule of law,” the Commission stated.

The MSCW further urged women across the state to remain vigilant against crimes targeting women and to actively support initiatives focused on awareness, prevention, and intervention. “Such acts of violence pose a significant threat to our society, and we urge all responsible citizens to join us in condemning this atrocity,” the statement added.
