UKHRUL, AUG 19: The Supreme Court Collegium has approved the proposal for the appointment of Naga advocate Nchumbemo Mozhui as a Judge of the Gauhati High Court.
The decision was taken at the Collegium’s meeting on Tuesday, where it also approved the appointment of Judicial Officer Helen Dawngliani as a Judge of the High Court.
The appointments will be subject to notification by the Central Government upon completion of the prescribed process.
Nagaland deputy chief minister Yanthungo Patton congratulated Mozhui on the development, describing it as a proud and well-deserved milestone.
