Kohima, May 8: Fully endorsing the ‘Operation Sindoor’, Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio said that he stands with the Government of India in taking action against terrorism.
Neiphiu Rio also said he fully supports the objectives of Operation Sindoor.
Rio also extended his best wishes to all those working towards the peace and security of the country.
Rio then stated, “We stand with the Government of India in its decisive action against terrorism and support the objectives of Operation Sindoor”. The Nagaland chief minister added, “We firmly oppose terrorism in all its forms and extend our prayers and best wishes to all those working for peace and security of the country.”

Meanwhile, mock exercises were held across Nagaland on May 7.
The mock exercises commenced with the first siren at 4:30 pm, signalling the start of various simulated emergency activities.
In the state capital, Kohima, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) sounded the air raid siren from IPR Directorate at 6:30 pm, followed by a brief two-minute “Black-Out” exercise involving a temporary power shutdown.
Designated locations in Kohima were prepared for the drill: the Capital Convention Centre served as the staging area, a temporary hospital was set up at the Directorate of Social Welfare, a Demilitarized Zone was established at the Directorate of Higher Education, and the NPSC office was marked as the air raid-affected area.
