With this update, Longleng district has registered its first COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. While the rest 10 districts in Nagaland have their shares of the pandemic, Kiphire is the only district in the State that has not reported any case of COVID-19 till date.

It can be noted here that the State had recorded the highest single day spike of COVID-19 cases on Monday, detecting 71 cases of the disease.
Meanwhile, even though the number of COVID-19 cases is rising sharply in the past few days, people in the State are carrying out their daily chores as usual.

The State’s commercial hub Dimapur continues to witness brisk business activities even though the main two markets—New Market and Hongkong Market—in the heart of the city are yet to open.
It can be mentioned here that the markets open from 9 am to 2 pm daily except on Sundays.
