Hl. Lordson Anal, Chairman Japhou Bazar Authority/Board along with Ethar Erur Media visited Chandel CMO office today for a serious talk regarding the present Covid situation in the district.
Dr. Serthani Serbum, CMO highlighted the urgent need for anaesthetist and medicine specialist during the conversation. The need for medicine and anaesthetist doctor had been a long cry for Chandel district hospital apart from many other needs. The present surge in Covid situation has made the need of the demand for anesthetist and medicine specialist more urgent. The CMO also reiterated that the availability of ICU unit and it’s equipment in the district hospital without a specialist anaesthetist is a weakness.

The team later visited Medical Superintendant, Dr Joyson Monsang who also highlighted and supported the need for anaesthetist and medicine specialist for the district hospital. He further mention the need for technical staff to operate the newly arrived digital X ray and ultrasound machine.
Dr. Shakchung Serbum, the District Surveillance Officer appealed for early detection of Covid and isolation. According to him, to flatten the surge of Covid, people need to strictly follow laid down Covid appropriate behaviour by the government and get vaccinated as important precautionary measure.
