SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills District Administration has advised candidates appearing for the NEET (UG) Re-Examination, 2026, to arrive well in advance at their examination centre in Upper Shillong on June 21 due to a scheduled visit by a Union Minister.

In a press release issued on Friday, the administration informed that the Union Minister is scheduled to visit PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, EAC Headquarters, Upper Shillong, on the same day as the national-level medical entrance examination.

Authorities stated that security arrangements linked to the VVIP visit may lead to regulation of traffic along certain stretches of road leading to Upper Shillong. As a result, commuters could experience temporary congestion and travel delays.

Candidates allotted to PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya as their examination centre have been specifically advised to reach the venue well before the reporting time mentioned in their admit cards to avoid any inconvenience.

The administration also urged candidates to plan their travel accordingly and ensure they carry all necessary documents required for entry into the examination hall.

Officials said that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination while managing the security requirements associated with the ministerial visit. The administration sought the cooperation of students, parents and the public in facilitating both arrangements.
