Night Curfew Extended till October 21 in the whole Revenue District Of Ukhrul

The district administration of Ukhrul has extended night curfew from 8:30 pm to 4 am till October 21 in the whole revenue district of Ukhrul. The district magistrate order comes following the directive of chairman, State executive committee for strict implementation of night curfew in all the districts of the state.

In exercise of the power conferred upon him, the district magistrate of Ukhrul had prohibited movement of any persons outside their respective residences from 8.30 pm till 4 am for 30 days with effect from 22 September till 21 October.

According to the order, all offices in the district will function normally. All shops in the district are permitted to open from 7 am to 8pm everyday except Sunday with strict observation of SOP.

Ava market Phungreitang may be allowed to open subject to strict compliance of SOP. While hotels for lodging will be allowed to remain open with minimum staff.

Bank services will continue to function normally without shortened working hours on all working days by taking adequate precaution and strictly following Covid Appropriate Behaviours.

Public transport including buses, taxis and wingers are allowed to ply with passengers not exceeding 50 per cent capacity of the vehicle. All passengers, drivers and helpers shall wear masks and Police and district administration shall ensure that the capacity limit is complied with, the order added.

Social gatherings and feasts are not permitted.

The chairman order issued on Wednesday had directed the deputy commissioners to issue necessary orders and superintendence of Police to take necessary action to implement the orders strictly.
