Niki led NSCN (K) says Republic Tv “propagating malicious news”

The Niki led NSCN (K) in a press statement on Saturday while condemning the national news channel REPUBLIC TV for “propagating malicious news” responded sharply and termed the national news channel report on Niki Sumi’s faction heading for surrender, giving up national political rights as unfounded and unauthenticated news report.

NSCN (K) respond came in after December 23rd announcement of the faction decision to revive the cease fire with the government of India to facilitate the peace process the outfit had in 2015 unitarily abrogated.

Condemning REPUBLIC TV news report, Nikato Pilot Sumi, Dy. Kilonser NSCN/GPRN stated that the outfit “stand strong with our aspiration and commitment for our Naga political rights till the time we achieve it.”

The faction further clarified the decision to revive cease fire was based “on the invitation from the government of India to join the peace process,” and as such, “NSCN/GPRN established contact with government of India in order to revive the ceasefire and that should not be misconstrued in anyway as a sign of surrender or giving up Naga political rights,” it stated.

Niki led NSCN (K) went ballistic and termed the “reportage as outrageous and deserves utter condemnation for the simple fact that it is a false report and NSCN/GPRN totally condemns and rejects the media report. The reportage has been done without knowing even an iota of truth,” the faction added.
