No fresh COVID-19 case reported in Manipur, first time in eight months

Manipur did not report any fresh COVID-19 case on Thursday. Such is the case for the first time since July 2020 in the state.

Meanwhile, Manipur’s infection tally of COVID-19 stood at 29,283 as on Thursday, the state Health department stated in its daily update report.

During the period, a total of 919 samples were tested with none of them diagnosed with the COVID-19 to take the total number of samples tested till date in the state to 5,53,091.

Apart from detecting no new positive case, no patient was recovered during the same period. As such the recovery rate remained at 98.61%.

Of the total 29,283 infections, 28,878 were recoveries and 32 active cases. No death related to the COVID-19 was also reported in the last 24 hours. The fatality remained at 373, it added.

On the other hand, with 3,286 vaccinated today, the total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state rose to 60,566. The beneficiaries included 30,042 healthcare workers.
