NPF election campaign meeting held at Tamenglong

Tamenglong: Naga People’s Front (NPF) Tamenglong Division on Thursday kicked off election campaign for 12th State Legislative Assembly election 2022 in Tamenglong district headquarters at Apollo (Lower) Ground.

The event was attended by NPF Manipur State Unit president Awangbow Newmai who is also the Forest minister and sitting MLA of 52-Tamei/Tousem (ST) AC, NPF central working president and election management of Manipur polls chairman, Samuel Risom and Nagaland Forest, Environment and Climate Change minister YM Yollow and NPF Tamenglong division president Joseph Newme among others.

Speaking at the occasion, minsiter Awangbou Newmai appealed to the people to trust NPF party stating that NPF have brought development to Tamenglong and will continue to do so and will never compromise the trust of people.

The minister also said the rights and integrity of Nagas will be safeguarded as it has always been for Nagas. AFSPA he said should be repealed.
