KOHIMA: On the winning of BJP candidate Daochier Imchen in the by-election in Nagaland on Monday, the Naga People’s Front (NPF), one of the partners of Nagaland’s People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA), said today that “this decisive mandate reflects the people’s trust in his leadership, the PDA’s vision for development, and the collective commitment to peace and progress in the region”.
BJP candidate Daochier I. Imchen won the Koridang assembly constituency in Mokokchung district of Nagaland by securing 7,317 votes in the by-election on Monday. Daochier Imchen, 35 years old, is now the youngest Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly in the current term.

Daochier I Imchen is the PDA’s consensus candidate in the by-election to the Koridang assembly constituency.
“This decisive mandate reflects the people’s trust in his leadership, the PDA’s vision for development, and the collective commitment to peace and progress in the region,” said the NPF, adding, “His victory is a testament to hard work, grassroots connect, and the faith reposed by the electorate of Koridang”.
The NPF then wished him great success in his new responsibility and assured cooperation in all matters of public interest and development.
