UKHRUL: A condolence message from Rahul Gandhi was addressed to Victor Keishing following the demise of his mother, Khathingla Keishing. Expressing deep sorrow, Gandhi said he was “deeply saddened by the demise” and described her as “a firm pillar of support” to the late Manipur Chief Minister Rishang Keishing. He further noted that “her dignity and strength in public life shall be remembered” and that “she will be missed deeply by all those whose lives she touched.”
Rahul Gandhi also extended his condolences to the bereaved family, stating, “I offer my condolences to you and your family in this difficult time.”

Chief Minister of Manipur Y Khemchand Singh said he was “Deeply saddened by the passing of Late Smt. Khathingla Keishing, beloved wife of Late Shri Rishang Keishing.”
Kathingla Keishing passed away at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal after suffering from a prolonged illness on Saturday at around 7:35 AM. She hailed from Bungpa Khunou village under Kamjong District, Manipur. She was 96 years old.
