NPO & SDSA congratulates all elected representatives, appeals for non-violence

Senapati: The Naga People’s Organization (NPO), Senapati in its press release had congratulated all the elected representatives of 47-Karong (ST) AC, 48-Mao (ST) AC and 49-Tadubi (ST) AC. 

The release stated that on behalf of the general public of Senapati District,  the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO) extends their heartiest congratulations to all those who have won the people’s mandate to represent the district in the just concluded 12th Manipur state legislative assembly election, 2022. Information and Publicity Wing of the NPO mentioned assuring their fullest co-operation to the successful candidates in their effort to work for the welfare and the development of the people of the district. 

NPO further appeals to the general public to refrain from any form of violence and hooliganism that may impair the peaceful co-existence of the different communities in the district.

In a congratulatory note issued from the Information & Publicity Secretary of the Senapati District Stduents Association (SDSA), the office of the SDSA extend their warmest congratulations to J. Kumo Sha who is also a tribunal member of the district student body to have been elected from 47-Marong (ST) AC, Losii Dikho of 48-Mao (ST) AC and N. Kayisii of 49-Tadubi (ST) AC for their incredible victory in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Elections, 2022 calling such victory to demonstrate the rock-solid trust and confidence and vision the people of the district to progress and prosperity of the district.

The release stated that people of Senapati under their strong leadership and astute guidance would continue to thrive as an active player to further enhance opportunities and developments and for mutual benefits of the district in the state. The office of the SDSA on behalf of all the student community of the district wish them every success in all their future endeavours and pray that the grace of Lord Jesus to be with them forever.

The Abduction and Murder of 6 Naga Civilians

On the morning of May 13, 2026, between 10:30 am and 11:00 am, the Kukis forcefully abducted 12 women including an infant and six men at Leilon Vaiphei, a Kuki village.
