Speaking to reporters, Tynsong said, “I would like to tell you that this seizure made by the officials of the ECI does not belong to chief minister Conrad K Sangma, who is also our national president of the NPP.”

He said the vehicle that the Election Commission of India (ECI) had detained was not at all part of the chief minister’s convoy and the cash of not less than Rs 1.2 crore carried by this vehicle also did not belong to the NPP.
