Dimapur, Jan 13: The editorial of NSCN-IM bulletin, Nagalim Voice, in its latest issue, said the relationship between the Government of India and the Nagas are marked by political hypocrisy exercised by India. It also said that, while India had predominantly stood for insincerity and double dealings, the truth of Naga history as stoutly defended by NSCN-IM had sustained the Naga political struggle. “To make the meaning more clear, political hypocrisy is the conscious use of a mask to fool the public and gain political benefit in the most unsavoury and unhealthy manner,” it also stated, while adding, “In other words, hypocrisy is an indication of dishonesty and deceit in an attempt to solve one problem while desperately employing unrighteousness to equate NSCN with the other surrendered organizations simply to counterweight NSCN who stands non-negotiable on the truth of Naga political issue”. Significantly, according to the NSCN-IM bulletin, “hypocrisy” represents India, while “truth” represents National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) that spearheads the Naga political struggle on behalf of the God given Naga nation.

The editorial then said the “NSCN dared to level hypocrisy’ against India, because that is the undeniable truth”. Rather, “indefensible truth”, it added. “What is inherently not right we have to point out, as hypocrisy is politically wrongful and worthy of censure and criticism,” the NSCN-IM bulletin further said. No wonder, the tide of the situation demands exigent arrangement, alternative to political hypocrisy as the stake to prolong the Naga solution based on Framework Agreement is getting bigger by day, forcing the NSCN to look for help beyond the border, it further added.

There are enough good reasons why we have to apply political hypocrisy against India, said the bulletin. There is lying, lack of sincerity, self-deception, double standards, and lack of integrity or weakness of political will, it also stated.

The NSCN-IM bulletin then said, “What is troubling the Naga political solution even after more than 27 years of political dialogue!” There are incentives for practicing hypocrisy by the “so called Naga political parties/factions”, it further said. For indulging in political rhetoric, the numerous factions are welcomed by India, by talking to them in “wishy washy” manner, the bulletin stated. Notably, a group with no principles, moral or political commitments, practice hypocrisy with “pretentiousness” in order to survive as political parties in the name of the Naga political issue when their actions failed to reflect Naga political aspirations other than running “cottage industries” collecting taxes for their survival and pleasure of life, the NSCN-IM bulletin also said. “Significantly, the Government of India spent millions to sponsor the birth of factions placing them within their ambit to force a wicked political equation to target NSCN. This is the crux of today’s messy situation created by India,” it added.

The NSCN-IM bulletin then said the taint of hypocrisy blocked the way for the Naga people to trust the government of India as the two faced interlocutor representing India is the master of deceit and deception with divisive approach to Naga political solution. “Why cry foul against the Naga political groups for not coming together for ‘one issue one solution’ when India is the devil behind the creation of many factions, who else!” it added.
