NSCN refutes AR claim of capturing their cadre with weapon

The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN IM) on Sunday refuted Assam Riffles’ (AR) claim of arresting one of their cadres with a .32 mm pistol in his possession along with live rounds, accusing the 6th AR gave false report and that the allegations of the cadre being arrested with weapon and ammunition is baseless.

In the release, the NSCN clarified that Panphung Pangsa of Votnu village under Wancho Region, Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh is a carder of NSCN, a 2nd lieutenant and was on medical leave when AR raided his house at around 9 pm, on January 9th and captured him.

The NSCN then said that the report of Assam Rifles targeted NSCN again for no reason, adding that no incriminating items was found with him.

The release said that “these sorts of unfounded pictures are always put on any NSCN cadre AR could lay its hands on.” It also said, “for the AR, a little bit of humanity and sensitivity could have gone a long way to avoid any acrimony with the public and the NSCN.”
