His team was greeted with warm and pleasant hospitalities by the Zeme Council, Assam, Zeme Students’ Union, Assam, and Zeme Pui Baudi, Assam, and the beloved Nagas of NC Hills; the tour was indeed remarkable and meaningful because the Longvibu made it clear that he is touring & visiting the NC Hills areas not as the chief of the Naga Army or as Co-Coordinator to the Indo-Naga peace talk or as a member of the NSCN/GPRN, but as a concerned Naga. Gen. Ningkhan Shimray acted as the torch bearer of the GPRN to rekindle the spirit of Nationalism and to light the torch of brotherhood and revolutionary spirit amongst the people of Nagas. He made aware the citizens of NC, Hills Assam of the past, present, and future of the socio-political scenario of the Nagas by highly emphasizing ‘Think Beyond’ and “Go Beyond”. The most impressive outcome of the tour was winning the hearts of the populace and implanting their minds & hearts with the spirit of our national cause.

Longvibu commented that this kind of touring and program is aimed at creating a highway for the independent Naga nation and a landing ground for the collective understanding of all the Naga peoples who were scattered under the artificial boundaries set by the Indians. He added, we will never compromise our rights and our ancestral lands to anyone and we are not asking for a morsel but we are fighting for our rightful ancestral lands that were being withheld by the Indians through manipulation and division. We are seeking political integration through the Framework Agreement to enable us to make a highway for physical integration in the near future.

The Framework Agreement has opened many doors for both India and Naga to co-exist as two separate entities, Naga as one free nation and India as one free nation which will work tirelessly to co-exist peacefully. We Nagas will determine our own future under our Naga’s constitution. He also added that his visit is a kind crusade for reviving and christening the dreams of the people for the free Nagas under the Banner of Nagalim for Christ. These movements and missions are not of the Naga army alone, but it is a people’s movement and people’s mission under the vision of our Almighty God.

When the crowd was briefed that NC Hills is shrouded in the FA and their peoples and areas will never be compromised, one president of the Mothers’ Association gracefully expressed her remark, “Now I can rest or even die peacefully, for I know that my children will be safe because the army of Jesus Christ had given us to hope for the better tomorrow. A new dawn has dawned on us today. For I know ‘the safety and security of our home’ is indeed an envy and prayers of all the Naga mothers.

The presidents of the CSOs from the areas and the citizens of the NC, Hills Assam conveyed our deep sense of gratitude and extended our heartfelt prayers and unceasing support to the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim and for the Naga Army. We graciously opine that this very tour has enlightened our minds and the sense of equality and oneness amongst the Naga people is borne. The visit of Longvibu has indeed graced us in many ways, the military stronghold is upgraded, and the gap between the peoples is bridged physically and politically. We have been assuming that we have been given the stepmotherly treatments, but now we have realized that we were wrong, rather we have understood and learned that we have been lacking the people’s movements and people’s initiatives. We will uphold our every right and fear no one in the days to come because we know we have a solid foundation, all thanks to the Longvibu of Naga Army and his team.”

The sleepless nights and extensive touring in the interiors and rough terrains had been successful due to the grace and blessing of the Almighty God: and it’s our humble prayer that our Almighty God blessed everyone who part-took this perilous journey along with our most honourable Longvibu.
