CHANDEL, NOVEMBER 26: The Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC) has, once again, reaffirmed its stand on protecting the ancestral land of the Nagas during its 3rd Federal Assembly held at Moyon Khullen (Bujuur Khufhuw) in Chandel district on Tuesday. The student body also stressed on quality education in the district.
The federal assembly of the NSUC was hosted by Thiimziih Teen Bujuur Ruwrkheh – TTBR (Moyon Naga Students’ Union) and all constituent bodies.

The assembly called for crafting a powerful and focused message on defending ancestral land, bringing quality education, and strengthening the community platform.
The assembly further emphasized the importance of preserving heritage and the sacredness of ancestral land as a foundation of identity and culture. It also highlighted the ongoing threats and the community’s right to protect and reclaim this land.
The NSUC also called for collective action, legal advocacy, and sustainable stewardship to honor ancestors’ legacy.

The assembly also addressed the need for accessible, high-standard education that empowers younger generations with knowledge and skills. The NSUC also advocated for investment in schools, teacher training, and infrastructure within the community.
It further stressed on education as a tool to break cycles of poverty and open pathways for future leadership and innovation.
The NSUC Assembly also called for focusing on building a united, inclusive community platform that amplifies voices and coordinates shared goals; encourage collaboration among leaders, youth, and stakeholders to increase the platform’s impact and promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement to maintain trust and participation.
The assembly was also attended by senior members of the NSUC.
