Officials visit Chandel to discuss hockey infrastructure development

Chandel, April 3: An important meeting was held in Chandel to discuss the development of hockey in the district. The meeting was attended by Bhupendra Singh, Assistant Manager Coordinator of Hockey India, Loyalakpa, President of Manipur Hockey, and Basanta Sharma, CEO of Manipur Hockey, along with other dignitaries from Manipur Hockey.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the development of hockey in Chandel district, and to explore ways in which infrastructure for the sport could be improved. The meeting was attended by the Executive Committee of the Chandel District Hockey Association, who were keen to work with the visiting team to improve facilities for hockey players in the region.

The visiting team was warmly welcomed to Chandel, and a reception was held in their honor at the residence of HL. Lovingson Anal, a Special Contractor and Executive Member of the CDHA. During the reception, Joyshing Monsang, General Secretary of the Chandel District Hockey Association, presented a memorandum to Bhupendra Singh, requesting Hockey India’s support in developing hockey infrastructure in the district.

Among the other dignitaries present at the meeting were Chinglensana, an Olympian from 2016, and Meisnam Birjit, CEO of Manipur Hockey. The meeting was a positive step forward for the development of hockey in Chandel, and it is hoped that the discussions will lead to increased investment in infrastructure for the sport in the region.
