NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 14: A sustained community-led search operation continues in the Munirka area of New Delhi for Kaikho Daikho, a resident of Manipur who has been missing since October 26, 2025.

Kaikho had already booked his ticket to return home on October 27, but went missing a day before his departure, around 3:00 a.m. on October 26. His last known trace is a CCTV footage from Munirka, where he lived with his younger brother and a roommate.

He is married and a father of three children, currently being cared for by his wife back home in Manipur. Since the day he went missing, volunteers and community organisations have been searching continuously, covering multiple locations around Munirka.

In a separate incident, Paul Lamkang, son of Jv. Darlun Lamkang, also went missing from Munirka on November 11, 2025, just one day before he was scheduled to travel home on November 12.

In response to the two cases, the Naga Students’ Union Delhi (NSUD), Mao Students’ Union Delhi, Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun Delhi (LKKD) and the NSUD Tribal Unit organised a joint mass search today, November 14, starting from Anupam Restaurant, Munirka, at 8:30 a.m. The effort saw a strong turnout of over 160 volunteers, concerned about the whereabouts of the missing persons.

During the operation, Paul Lamkang was located safely in Munirka following an extensive search.

However, the search for Kaikho Daikho is still ongoing, and volunteers continue to comb the area for any leads.

Authorities and community groups have appealed to the public to report any information that may assist in locating Kaikho.
