Imphal, November 5: Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, while reflecting on the evolving media landscape, has urged journalists and broadcasters to uphold truth, restraint, and ethical values in their work. “The journalists’ pen and the broadcasters’ microphone are powerful tools, they can either heal or harm. The responsibility to use them wisely rests with every media professional,” he remarked. He emphasized that responsible media must inform, enlighten, and unite people, rather than divide them.
The Governor said this while gracing the diamond jubilee celebration of Akashvani Imphal held today at the City Convention Centre, Imphal. The event marked sixty years of Akashvani Imphal’s dedicated service to the people of Manipur and the nation.
