As announced by DC Tamenglong, Armstrong Pame IAS, an oxygen plant will be set up in Tamenglong District Hospital campus. He also mentioned that this plant will be able to refuel up to 200 D Type Oxygen Cylinder and it is expected to set up within the coming 6 to 8 weeks.
The announcement of Armstorng Pame comes in after the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department minister, Vungzagin Valte on Sunday announced that he will be soon placing orders for oxygen plants that will be installed in six hill districts of Manipur to tackle the pandemic’s second onslaught.
Tamenglong District received a well equipped ambulance with all first aid and emergency medical kit from directorate of health govt of Manipur.
Minister Awangbou MLA of Tamei AC , Tamenglong district was quoted saying, “Received Ambulance for Tamenglong oinamlong PHC- NH 37. Thank you so much sir. People of my district will continue to remember you for the Love you gave to the people sir.”
Armstrong Pame expressed his deep gratitude to Minister Awangbow Newmai for tirelessly working to acquire the ambulance in the need to the hour for the district. This ambulance will be used to cover areas touched by highway, Armstrong said.
Meanwhile, the 3rd Phase of district level COVID-19 vaccination drive for 18-44 years was launched on Monday by DC Tamenglong. In Noney, the vaccination programme was launched by District Immunisation Officer (DIO) Dr Jendum Golmei.
