Pilgrims from Meghalaya in Israel to return safely soon

Shillong: Lone Rajya Sabha MP from Meghalaya, Dr WR Kharlukhi along with 26 other pilgrims from Meghalaya will safely return to the state from Israel in a matter of few days time, Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar said today.

“Just day before yesterday they successfully crossed the border (amidst escalating tensions in the Israel-Palestine conflict zone). All of them are okay,” Dhar said.

He informed that chief minister Conrad K Sangma had taken up the matter with the Government of India.

“According to him, they have crossed the border and there is no problem as they will now safely return in a few days’ time,” Dhar said.
