PMKVY 4.0 Training Launched in Kohima for Mobile, Computing, and Drone Skills

Kohima, September 30: A training program under PMKVY 4.0 (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) was launched today in Kohima, focusing on skill development for Mobile Phone Hardware Repair Technicians, Assistant Installation Computing & Peripherals, and Drone Service Technicians.

The event, held at YouthNet Main Office on Billy Graham Road, was inaugurated by Anthony Ngullie, NCS Secretary of Youth Resources and Sports as the guest of honour.

During his address, Anthony Ngullie, NCS Secretary of Youth Resources and Sports, encouraged the trainees to fully commit to their training, urging both trainers and trainees to put forth their best efforts to complete the program and earn their certification.
He highlighted the importance of mobile phone and computer peripheral training, describing it as an “industry-ready” skill that prepares individuals for immediate job opportunities.

Ngullie spoke on the significance of keeping up with technological advancements, stressing that technology is shaping the future, and it is vital for individuals to adapt and learn. He also expressed appreciation for YouthNet’s service in empowering young people through skill development.

Touching on the concept of dignity of labor, Ngullie remarked that many Nagas tend to shy away from hard work and become overly ambitious without a realistic approach. He encouraged the trainees to recognize their abilities, set achievable goals, and move forward with determination.

He further urged the Naga community to fully engage their minds and hearts in skilling themselves, choosing careers that align with their strengths and aspirations.

Nuneseno Chase, Director of YouthNet, provided opening remarks on PMKVY 4.0, while Philip Patton and L. Toshimeren Longkumer also delivered short speeches.

Kethosituo Sekhose, NCS Director of the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, encouraged the attendees.

The event featured a special song by trainees at YouthNet, adding a cultural touch to the proceedings.

Naroenla, Youth Resources Officer, led the program, and Vikhoto Zao, Assistant Pastor of Peniel Church, invoked God’s blessing.

Er. Kevin Khezhie, Director of NagaBots Tech Ventures Pvt Ltd, delivered the concluding remarks.

The program, supported by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
