East Khasi Hills Police Gear Up for KHADC Election Security

Shillong, Jan 30: East Khasi Hills police are making elaborate security arrangements for peaceful, free and fair conduct of the elections to the 15 constituencies of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), to be held on February 21.

Informing this today, SP (City) Dara Ashwagosh said security plans will be made for each polling station. Additional forces will also be deployed.

The KHADC has a total of 1669 polling stations.

Ashwagosh said that police are also in the process of identifying critical and vulnerable polling stations. All police stations in the district have been asked to submit a report in this regard.
