Poumai Naga Union Ends Boycott and Reaffirms Ties with Naga Apex Bodies

Senapati, December 16: The Poumai Naga Union has lifted its earlier social and political boycott of six Poumai Naga individuals and has also withdrawn its dissociation from other Naga apex bodies, including the United Naga Council (UNC), the All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM), the Naga Women’s Union (NWU), and the Naga Peoples’ Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR).

This decision follows careful deliberation and is in alignment with the “Letter of Commitment” signed on 26 November 2024 between the NSCN/GPRN and the official delegation of the Poumai Naga Union. These resolutions were adopted on 13 December 2024.

The decision reflects a commitment to fostering mutual respect, reconciliation, and peaceful coexistence among all parties involved.

The agreement signed on 26 November 2024 serves as a testament to the shared vision of resolving conflicts through dialogue, mutual understanding, and trust. The Poumai Naga Union’s actions demonstrate a sincere effort to honor its commitments and work toward harmonious relationships among all stakeholders.
