Poumai Naga Union’s Assembly Reaffirms Support for Kho John

Senapati: In a historic Emergency Assembly meeting of the Poumai Naga Union held at Sanyi Dahrii Memorial Sports Complex, Karong, Senapati, the house has unanimously reaffirmed to extend fullest support to Kho John, Independent Candidate, of 2-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency in the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024.

The Assembly, the biggest crowd ever, was attended by all the Poumai village chairmen and secretaries, politicians, leaders from various organisations, intellectuals and well wishers to reaffirm the resolutions passed on the 24th Oct 2023 in the PNU Assembly held at Koide Biisho that the Poumai tribe pledging to support Kho John.

Village chairmen, senior politicians, students activists, women leaders and intellectuals stressed on the need to support Kho John as he is the right candidate to represent the Naga and tribal people in the parliament who is very humble and insightful with vast knowledge in serving the people as a social worker. He has numerous work experiences for decades and tirelessly worked for peaceful coexistence among the various communities in Manipur.

Speaking on the occasion, Independent candidate S Kho John extended gratitude for projecting him as an independent candidate. He said that the mission is to let him plant a tree for the younger generation to come so that they could harvest bountifully to have a bright future.

Kho John also asserted that the decision to contest MP election was stated to be a long cherished dream of the Poumai community and thanked the Poumai community to have elected him to be the candidate. Stating to have reached out certain nook and corners of the state, Kho John stated that he has been trying his best while urging all to join hands together with him.

While the Poumai community endorsed Kho John to be the candidate in the coming Lok Sabha elections, the candidate also assured the gathering that he would win the election and urged all to support him with prayers.

The house received overwhelming applause in the fullest support for Kho John’s candidature. The house further resolved to appeal to all communities in the state of Manipur, particular voters of the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency to Support and vote for Kho John. Chairmen and secretaries of the Poumai tribe have pledged to support Kho John, the independent candidate for the upcoming MP election. The meeting concluded successfully with certain guidelines and information.
