RKL Elects New Office Bearers for 2024-27

Ukhrul: Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL), a conglomeration of 45 villages from the northern part of Ukhrul District, elected its new office bearers for the tenure 2024-2027.

“Paomi Khaveishang from Luireishimphung village has been elected as the new President of Raphei Katamnao Long, Worreisem Yangya from Paorei village as the Vice President, and Lanno Mawon from Chingai village as the finance secretary of Raphei Katamnao Long for the tenure 2024-2027,” stated Chief Election Commissioner of RKL, Wunganing Awungshi. There were no candidates for the posts of General Secretary and Education Secretary.

Paomi Khaveishang aims to strengthen grassroots-level education and foster unity with various student bodies. She aims to revive the Raphei Marketing Centre and vows to preserve the rich and vibrant culture of Raphei.

A few educated Rapheinao came together and founded Raphei Katamnao Long in 1948. 75 years have passed since the formation of this organization. The election was held on Friday at the office premises of Ato Longphang, Ukhrul Headquarters.
