Noney: The Rongmei Naga Students’ Organization Manipur (RNSOM) Longmai Luangrean, in a statement released today appealed the state government to immediately lift the ban on internet services.
The organisation also said that the Longmai (Noney) district regions are inhabited by the Nagas and these have nothing to do with the ongoing crisis. It also added that the ban on the internet services has severely affected the lives of the people, particularly the student communities.

It added further that “while RNSOM laments the loss of lives and properties at the unfortunate event, it also regrets see that the ban on internet services is continuing with no end in near sight.”

The RNSOM has called for lifting of ban on internet within a week’s time and said upon failing, the state will have to answer the call of Rongmei Naga Council Manipur (RNCM) for massive agitations along NH- 37.
