‘SBI Branch Operating Without Branch Manager for Two Months’: Chandel Naga People’s Org

Chandel, July 15: The Chandel Naga People’s Organisation has raised alarm that the State Bank of India (SBI) branch Chandel, has been operating without a designated Branch Manager for the past two months.

Speaking to this correspondent, the CNPO said that customers and local residents have faced numerous difficulties in accessing essential banking services that require managerial approval or oversight, seeking immediate attention.

“Transactions requiring authorization, loan processing, account issues, and grievance redressals have been delayed or left unresolved due to the absence of a responsible officer in charge,” said CNPO.

“We urge the SBI authorities and concerned higher officials to take immediate steps to address this matter by appointing a qualified and permanent Branch Manager at the earliest,” CNPO added.

Pointing out the challenges and the continued absence of a managerial head, CNPO said the situation is not only affecting customer service but also raising questions about accountability and operational efficiency.
