Senapati: The Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) and its federating units observed Candle-Light Vigil and Prayer Session in honour of 13 deceased who were killed by the security forces on December 4.
In a directive issued by Kegwayhun Tep, President and Siipuni Ng. Philo, general secretary of the Naga Students Federation (NSF), it has directed all the federating units and sub-ordinate bodies of the federation to organize a Candle-Light Vigil and Prayer Session in their respective jurisdiction at 7 pm on Sunday, December 5 to honour the victims of the heinous crime perpetrated upon the peaceful Naga civilians in Tiru/Oting village area under Mon district by the Indian armed forces.
A one minute silent prayer was offered in honour of the deceased Naga souls followed by slogans
“We want justice, We want Peace, Long live, Nagalim”.
The candle-light vigil was organised to signify to express the collective solidarity with the bereaved members of the deceased souls. It has also stated that the observation of the same would be held at its head office, Naga Club Building, Kohima at the same time.

Representatives from Senapati District Students Association and it’s federating units, Naga People’s Organization, Naga Women’s Union, All Naga Students Association, Manipur and other CSO leaders were present.
On the other hand, the Poumai Naga Students Union (PNTM) also organised Candle-Light Vigil and Prayer session in honour of the deceased Nagas of Nagaland at its head office in Karong, Senapati district.
