Senapati, 23 Dec: The Senapati Action Committee (SAC), formed in the aftermath of the December 22 incident where officials of the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) were physically assaulted at Gamgiphai Check Post, has issued an ultimatum. The SAC has asked members of the Kuki community to refrain from traveling to or residing within the vicinity of Senapati district with immediate effect.

In a declaratory statement, the SAC alleged that the coordinated attack on SDSA Naga leaders by assigned Kuki volunteers violated the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Naga People’s Organization (NPO) and the Committee of Tribal Unity (CoTU) on November 21, 2024. Following the incident, the SDSA unanimously formed the SAC to seek justice for the atrocities committed against its executives.

The SAC has also asserted that CoTU is solely responsible for the unfortunate incident and any regrettable consequences that may arise as a result.
