Sikkim to Host High-Altitude Super car Rally in December

UKHRUL, NOVEMBER 19: Sikkim buckles up as the first coordination meeting was convened on Tuesday (November 18) for a super car rally from Decmeber 11 to 15, 2025.

The event is supported by the Black Cat Division under Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army and the Government of Sikkim.

The meeting was jointly chaired by District Collector (DC) Gangtok Tushar G. Nikhare, Additional Political Secretary Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha, and a representative of the Indian Army.

Senior officials from various state departments, including SP Gangtok Mahendra Subba and OSD to the Chief Minister Rewaj Chettri, were also present.

Organized by a Mumbai-based Supercar Route group, comprising businessmen, investors andentrepreneus who regularly undertake supercar drives across India.

The self-funded and self- driven event aims to showcase Sikkim as one India’s most scenic and premier driving destinations.

Lamborghinis, Porches, and other high performance machines will cruise from Sukna in West Bengal, through Siliguri, Gangtok, Cho La, Natu La and across the Gnathang-Zuluk stretch.

Cho La, a mountain pass that connects India with Tibet is particularly known for its historical importance as a battlefireld between India and China during 1967.

The Trishakti Corps is extending support to promote Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan. The program is an initiative of the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Ministry of Toursim to honour India’s military heritage and encourage patriotic tourism.
