UKHRUL: A 47-year-old South Korean national was allegedly stabbed to death by his live-in partner following a heated argument over his drinking habits at their flat in Greater Noida’s Sector 150 in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
The deceased, Duck Hee Yuh, a resident of Cheongju, South Korea, had been working with a logistics company in Greater Noida for nearly 10 years. He lived at ATS Pious Hideaways with his partner, Lujeana Pamai (22), from Bishnupur district in Manipur. The two had been in a live-in relationship for around two years after meeting at a party in Gurgaon.
According to police, Yuh had been drinking continuously since Saturday morning. Between 3 am and 4 am, Pamai allegedly tried to stop him from consuming alcohol and asked him to eat dinner and go to sleep, which led to an argument that escalated into a physical fight. Pamai claimed Yuh became aggressive and assaulted her, after which she picked up a knife from the dining table and stabbed him multiple times in the chest.
Police said Pamai called Yuh’s driver, Mandeep Singh, who arranged for an ambulance and took him to the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), where he was declared dead on arrival. Pamai reportedly left the hospital after learning of his death.
