The High Powered Committee in consultation meeting with the Health and Family Welfare department and District Task Force held today under the chairmanship of the CM Neiphiu Rio at the CM’s Secretariat, have extended the ongoing statewide total lockdown with existing guideline till June 11.
Nagaland statewide total lockdown came into effect from May 14 and have been ever since extended twice. The latest lockdown orders was expiring on May 31.
The press statement from the state government informed to continue pursuing aggressive testing headed by Health and Family Welfare department as implemented across the state utilising the full testing capacity of the Covid-19 laboratories. All villages and Ward/ Colony authorities may be mobilised to organize suitable slots for vaccination in order to streamline the ongoing vaccination drive, the press statement said.
High Powered Committee (HPC) spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon earlier today took to twitter and said, “The High Power committee, GON, has decided to extend the Lockdown in Nagaland till June 11, 2021, on the basis of the advisory given by the Health & Family Welfare Department.”
