Tangkhul Trade and Commerce Council releases ‘The Entrepreneurship’ magazine, host seminar

Ukhrul: The Tangkhul Leihsak Long (TLL), Tangkhul Trade and Commerce Council on Saturday released Entrepreneurs’ Magazine which was released by S. Ningwonla, pioneer of Ukhrul Ava Market.

A seminar held at Ukhrul Town hall aimed at helping the local youths in market analysis and accordingly, explored on building local and village economy for self-sustainability.

Six speakers at the seminar included known entrepreneur Shangcham Shangjam, co-founder Chiko Adventures; Khanring Shimray, proprietor, The Undercroft; Seema Awungshi, coo, Meiphung Productions; R. R. Shimreiwung, proprietor of Towndown Café; Hormung Lungleng proprietor Gaze Unisex Salon & Spa; Worsem Zimik, founder of Steak House shared tips on customer services.

The event was participated by around 300 people from all walks of life and background from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts.

Speaking at the event, TLL president Peacemoon Zimik said that the seminar was organised to help the locals boost their businesses. Sharing his word of encouragement to the youths of the two districts he remarked, “Find out what you are passionate about. That is the beginning of your entrepreneurship.”

Seema K. S. Awungshi, CEO of Meiphung production talked about local market analysis, while R. R. Shimreiwung, proprietor of Towndown Café shared his thoughts about employment generation. Worsem Zimik, founder of Steak House shared tips on customer services. Hormung Lungleng shared his experience of running a salon in Ukhrul and said one has to understand the pulse of the market and work with passion. Shangcham Shangjam enlightened the participants on the importance of keeping tidy office paperworks such as pan card, registration certificate, ITR filling, GST etc. He also said that to become an entrepreneur, one has to take risks.

The programme moderated by Joshia Luithui, chief editor Entrepreneurs’ Magazine concluded with questions and answers and a word of gratitude from Ramyo Raingam with a closing prayer from Machinmi Konghar.
